I was born into a family that had its fair share of struggles. Growing up I watched my parents make great sacrifices to make ends meet. I took note of this persistence, as it set for me an example of what it means to work hard to achieve your goals. Alongside this motivation was always a will to help others regardless of the career path I chose. I initially pursued the medical field in lieu of serving others. In this quest I found myself working a stable position in the pharmaceutical industry, however, in it I lived a life of repetition. With that said, I learned to push myself and challenge my capabilities no matter what position I held, as I quickly learned that there is reward in making your best effort. After a few years working in pharmacy I found myself in the same position- wanting to move forward or to add something even more fulfilling to my career, but I could not. I reached a ceiling that I could not break. The trigger for change went off when I watched a coworker get chosen for a special project merely on the basis of whom he knew instead of his merit. This is when I knew I needed a change.
The seed that was planted and that eventually grew into where I am now came a few years ago. My cousin, Tofiq Bolwala started a business a year prior to my change of heart, and like me he had started a medical career and made the switch into this industry. He achieved a lot in a relatively short period of time and seemed to be doing everything that I wanted in my life- growth, progression, travels, and eventually running his own business. When we sat down and spoke about it I decided to apply and see where I can take it. I started in NYC on Wall Street and was chosen to be part of the expansion team to Atlanta. After being in Atlanta for less than year I am now owner of my own office in Savannah.
